This session is part of (be)longing, a Bethlem Gallery project supporting artist and Arts & Health Hub Director Daniel Regan to explore the theme of belonging in the lead up to his solo exhibition at the gallery in spring 2026.

This creative writing workshop will offer storytellers an opportunity to explore the theme of belonging through writing prompts and collective editing.

The session will begin with tips and techniques for telling powerful stories. Participants will engage in a short writing prompt followed by an editing exercise designed to reveal new insights and dimensions within their personal stories. An optional story-sharing process will help participants see the connections between their stories, their identities, their pasts, their aspirations, and the community in the room. The workshop will include grounding activities and space for reflection throughout the session.

No creative writing experience is necessary.
