Join us for our December online artist peer group!
Established in 2015 our artist peer groups are an opportunity for artists exploring health and wellbeing in their practice to gain feedback and support on their projects, ideas or challenges that they are facing. The space is for active feedback, meaning that artists aren’t sharing finished works, but asking for specific support from others attending the session. Together we pool resources and provide feedback in a supportive environment.
Our presenting artists this month are Rachel Horne and Cengizhan Sen.

About Rachel Horne.
Rachel is an artist, curator, and art psychotherapist from Doncaster in South Yorkshire, now based in Manchester. She will be discussing their journey, and presenting a film Rachel made about their work together in 2022.
Rachel is interested in gaining support focusing on:
How to support Imogen's art and story to reach a national/international audience, considering Imogen and her family's needs?
How to create a methodology for their practice together to help share with other artists and families who are creative?
How can Rachel push the importance of art and art therapy for SEN (special educational needs) children and young people in her practice?

About Cengizhan Sen.
Cengizhan Sen is a London-based writer, producer, researcher & artist. His diagnosis with Hodgkin's Lymphoma sparked a writing practice exploring sickness, identity, their associative traumas & healing. As part of his cancer advocacy, he is working with Trekstock as an ambassador. His published work can be found in Balkanism's 'Diversity as Strength' (2024), OutFront Magazine (2024), Flynne's Barn (2024) and Enthusiastic Press' 'Unheard Of' (2021).
Cengizhan will be presenting an editorial and curatorial project exploring the stories and practices of artists contributing to the topics of health, sickness and well-being. He will be sharing his objectives for the project, aims for its growth, and communications to the creative health community.
Cengizhan is interested in receiving support focusing on:
How can the project be effectively presented and communicated to enable collaboration and positive interest from the creative health community?
Does the project need to refine its editorial coverage to artists exploring specific health, sickness and well-being matters?
How can the project uniquely support conversation within the greater public sphere, bringing awareness to health, sickness and well-being issues?
What considerations need to be made to support the project’s evolution into event-based spaces?
