Save the date! Join us for our first in person artist peer group of 2025 - a chance to hear from, support, and meet other artists in creative health.
Our artist peer groups are an opportunity for artists exploring health and wellbeing in their practice to gain feedback and support on their projects, ideas or challenges that they are facing. The space is for active feedback, meaning that artists aren’t sharing finished works, but asking for specific support from others attending the session. Together we pool resources and provide feedback in a supportive environment. There’s time at the event to meet others working at the intersection of arts and health, and connect, too. Click here to read more about how the groups work.
Our artists for this session are Chloë Sastry and Anna Lerner. This session is facilitated by Daniel Regan and Paloma Tendero.

About Chloë Sastry.
Chloë is based in London and on the cusp of completing an MA in Photography. With her working background in mental health and horticulture therapy, Chloë has a particular interest in how the camera allows us to express our universal human experience and in turn, relate more authentically to others. Chloë’s current projects explore themes of family origin, loss and memorialisation. She is always interested in connecting with and learning from others.
“I will be sharing my work in progress on a personal autobiographical project, collaborating with my family archive. I am looking at the conflict between historical documents and my subjective recollections, by creating a counterhistory to allow me to find my own identity and sense of ‘home’ inside myself. I am particularly interested in hearing from others and making relevant connections for a more socially engaged practice.”

About Anna Lerner.
Anna Lerner is a London-based photographic artist. Her practice is led by appreciation of the present and art in the everyday. In capturing the sense of a place or subject, her approach is intuitive, observational, poetic, and often playful. Rooted in a regular, regenerative, almost meditative practice, she develops expansive bodies of work, often anchored around a locality or theme, explored over time.
From 2018, Anna took on a progressively active role caring for a parent with Parkinson’s Disease, amongst complex health conditions. Anna will be sharing snapshots, sketches, and thoughts from 'Holding on for dear life', a loose body of work that developed organically through her caring journey, up until just after her mother’s death. This is the first time this body of work will be shared in public.
Anna is testing out sharing the work, seeing what resonates, and exploring the value of words and context alongside imagery, in communications around caring, fragility and death, drawing from personal experience.

No creative experience is necessary - just a sense of curiosity and willingness to be supportive to our presenting artists.
Everyone is welcome at this event, regardless of whether you’re an artist, healthcare professional, or general member of the public.
The event takes place within Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. We’ll email you a few days before with the specific room and a map. You may want to arrive a little early if you’re unfamiliar with the building.
Refreshments (soft drinks / water) are provided. There is a bar if you want to get something specific.
Note on Self Care: The nature of our organisation means that we platform and support the voices of artists that are exploring personal experiences (their own or others) that can sometimes focus on complex issues including health, disability, race, the body, marginalisation, mental/physical health and more. We always encourage you to consider how to self-resource what you need before, during and after engaging with our activities. You can access a list of support resources here.
You’ll need to be aged 16+ to attend.
