Part of Art by Post: Of Home and Hope
Are you an artist working in the health sector keen to spark new ideas and connections?
Are you a healthcare provider, medical researcher or technologist curious about the potential of creative partnerships?
The Southbank Centre and Arts and Health Hub invite you to be part of a collaborative creative workshop, designed to connect people working at the intersection of the arts, healthcare, medical research and tech sectors, to ignite fresh ideas and responses to creative challenges.
Listen to a candid conversation between an artist and healthcare professional about the challenges and possibilities of their creative collaboration, and what it takes to nurture a long-term partnership.
Explore some of the tensions surrounding partnership working, including power discrepancies, privilege, access and knowledge justice, and respond to some of the most pressing creative challenges today.
Build new connections with other artists and healthcare professionals, and pathways for future collaborations.
As this workshop includes opportunities for individual and group discussion, and co-produced creative activity, we're inviting applications from artists and health sector professionals keen to share a diversity of insights and guide creative tasks. There will be an opportunity to visit the Art by Post exhibition and refreshments will be available.
Places are limited, so please complete our online form or alternatively send us a short audio/video application to artbypost@southbankcentre.co.uk by 5pm on 23rd September 2021.
