Volunteer for Arts & Health Hub.

At times we look for volunteers to help support on the delivery of projects or events. These opportunities are often suited for people curious about the intersection of arts and health and are looking to get more experience. Please see below for specific opportunities, then fill out the form and we will be in touch.

Please note that as a small organisation we are unable to take on long-term placements.

Arts & Health Hub operates a fitness to practice policy, encouraging volunteers to consider whether they are physically and psychologically well enough to engage in certain projects. Please think carefully about whether you are physically and mentally able to volunteer at this time.

Volunteering Opportunities.

Support Hub

Across 2023-2025 Arts & Health Hub are delivering a programme of support projects for artists across London, Manchester and online, including:

  1. Peer to peer mental health groups for artists with lived experience of mental health difficulties;

  2. Clinical supervision (‘work therapy’) for artists working in challenging environments;

  3. Professional development groups;

  4. 1-2-1 mentoring opportunities for early career artists.

Current Support Hub Volunteering Opportunities

We currently have spaces for volunteers to support our peer to peer mental health groups and our professional development groups in London and Manchester. These sessions run once a month, starting in September and finishing in February 2024.

Volunteers will support with:

  • Helping facilitators to setup rooms.

  • Helping provide participants with refreshments.

  • Helping participants with activities, where possible, such as repeating tasks and making sure they’re on track with the group.

  • Packing up after sessions.

Volunteers will be reimbursed reasonable travel costs (to be discussed), paid on receipt of an invoice with proof of expenditure.
