The Arts & Health Hub is working in partnership with the Royal College of Psychiatrist’s Arts Special Interest Group (ArtSIG) to commission 3 virtual workshops. The workshops are to be delivered to psychiatrists that are members of the ArtSIG who have a particular interest in how the arts can play a vital role in our health and wellbeing.
This opportunity is only open to artists that are registered members of the Arts & Health Hub. If you are registered, please login and refresh this page to see the form below. If you are not registered with us, you can register now. It’s free. Once you have authenticated your profile you will see the form below.
The commissioned artists will deliver 1 one-hour long workshop over a digital platform (Zoom/Microsoft Teams to be confirmed). The opportunity is open to varied arts forms, including (but not exclusively) to visual arts, sound, dance etc.
There is a fee of £130 to be paid the artist (inclusive of materials).
Key points to consider are:
- Any associated workshop materials must be accessible for participants, or low cost.
- Potential workshops could cover themes of: relaxing creative activities; stimulating and reflective exercises on psychiatry; the patient/psychiatric relationship and dynamic.
Workshops are to be delivered during November 2020, January and February 2021. Dates are to be confirmed with successful applicants. Please let us know if there any dates that you cannot do.
We welcome applications from artists with lived experience of mental health difficulties and those from ethnic minorities. If you have access needs please do briefly include them in your application and how we might be able to accommodate them.
The deadline for applications has now passed and applications are closed. All applicants will be notified of their outcome by October 16th.
