Verónica Rodríguez is a lecturer, a published author and a workshop facilitator based in London, UK. She is Sessional Lecturer in the Department of Film, Theatre and Television at University of Reading. She is member of the research group “Contemporary British Theatre Barcelona (CBTBarcelona)”. Her next book project is on women’s health and contemporary theatre and performance practices. She combines this strand of her practice with her ongoing engagement with the theatre industry (examples include the Soho Theatre, Theatre Royal Stratford East and the Royal Court Theatre). Her play Bi, about bipolar disorder, was commissioned by the Royal Court Theatre (‘Listen Local’ project) and presented in London in September 2019 at the Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019. She is co-founder of the community theatre company Wild Forest Theatre. She is a member of the artistic collective of endometriosis sufferers Inner-Orchestra.
