Freelance Artist Educator
Artist, writer and educator whose practice is participatory and Socially engaged, with interests in the intersections of arts & wellbeing. Making the use of thought provoking techniques to engage spectators, her body of work assembles text, storytelling, installation, performance and participation.
Interactivity is an outstanding point in her works, which has influences of artists such Helio Oiticica, one of the pioneers in the viewer participation movement, Neo-Concretism, Fluxus, Concrete Poetry and Modern Literature.
As part of her practice, Morgado runs INTERATIVOS creative workshop and tours since November 2016 at The Create Place (St Margaret’s House), in East London. Using her experience as an artist and educator, she plans, curates and deliver the workshops and gallery visits to the local community. The project is a space to create, collaborate and exchange ideas through art and poetry. Every workshop has a different activity and theme with focus on young people and adults.
