Self employed, no job
I studied Textile Design at Central-St Martins School of Art in the 1980’s and worked as a freelance designer and artist for about ten years until I had children (in New Zealand). I’ve worked as a fabric designer, sculptress at Euro-Disney, glass-blowers assistant and created film props amongst other adventures. It was fun. My mental Health difficulties started when my father drowned when I had young children in ’94, depression, exacerbated by two bouts of cancer (2010 & 2017) and lung disease (not pretty). I also trained to be an art, design and health teacher and did play centre training in NZ.
I have had a fair bit of therapy over the years and have studied art and environmental art therapy and psycho-sexual health. I am drawing a graphic novel and work sporadically facilitating community arts & nature workshops and I coordinated children & family theatre events for 4 years. I used to paint and I miss being an artist so much. I love opportunities to absorb myself creatively. I am healthy at the moment but on the old roulette wheel. I would like to facilitate some collage workshops about body image based on jungian and tarot archetypes and Heironymus Bosch.
