Job Role: Director
Company: Made By Mortals
Art Forms: Filmmaking, Multidisciplinary, Music, Writing
Bio:
Made By Mortals is a social enterprise that makes people powered musical theatre exploring the health and social challenges of our times. We do this through creative collaborations between small teams of professional theatre makers, social organisations and big teams of community story-makers (participants) with a diverse range of lived experience. Our work looks to deconstruct traditional narrative and theatrical modes and blur the lines between performer and audience. Through our distinctive approach our aim is to improve participation in arts and culture for under-served communities in post-industrial Northern towns. Our work is used as vehicle for coproduction and aims to promote community consultation,  power sharing, the co-design of public services and most importantly of all, hope.
