We are extremely grateful and excited to have received a new Arts Council grant to deliver the Support Hub, looking at practical support for artists. This new grant will support:
- The delivery of a 6 month project supporting artists with lived experience of mental health difficulties. These artists will meet online, once a month, with support from artist Daniel Regan, and artist and integrative counsellor Jessica Mitchell. These sessions focus on peer support and creative reflection.
- The opportunity for artists working in hospitals, care homes and other demanding/stressful environments to access monthly clinical supervision groups (where they themselves or their organisation are unable to provide this).
- The opportunity for 3 artists to have 1-2-1 mentorship over a 4 month period, with early career artists in arts and health being supported by those further along in their careers.
- An evaluation and impact report produced to feedback the efficacy of these support activities.
Our first portion of the project (#1) is currently open for applications, with the deadline being on October 16th. The other opportunities will be advertised in the coming weeks and months.
